Two-Component Waterborne Grey Epoxy Primer

Based on Beckopox™ EP 2351w/58WA & Beckocure® EH 2250w/41WA

REC25005 is a starting-point formulation for a two-component (2K), water-reducible grey epoxy primer. It pairs the allnex Beckopox™ EP 2351w/58WA waterborne epoxy resin with the Beckocure® EH 2250w/41WA amine hardener to deliver a low-VOC, anticorrosive primer for industrial steel protection.

Reference: IB 772/6. Mixing ratio is Part A : Part B = approx. 4.9 : 1 by weight. Combine the two components only shortly before application.

Processing

  1. Prepare and homogenize the mill base (Part A-I and A-II) Mix all components of Part A-I in the mentioned order. Add the components of Part A-II in the mentioned order and homogenize for 3–10 minutes.
  2. Grind the mill base Grind on a bead mill for approx. 30 minutes.
  3. Add additives and resin to complete Part A (Part A-III and A-IV) Add step by step Part A-III, then complete with Part A-IV (Beckopox™ EP 2351w/58WA).
  4. Combine the two components and adjust Mix Part A and Part B (Beckocure® EH 2250w/41WA) shortly before application and adjust to the required viscosity with deionized water.
