Two-Component Waterborne Epoxy Concrete Coating with Low VOC

Based on Beckopox™ EH 623w/80WA, Beckopox EP 2384w/57WA & Beckopox EP 147w

REC21004 is a starting-point formulation for a two-component (2K), water-reducible epoxy concrete coating with low VOC. It pairs the allnex Beckopox™ EH 623w/80WA waterborne amine resin with the Beckopox EP 2384w/57WA and Beckopox EP 147w epoxy hardeners to deliver a low-VOC, air-drying coating for concrete and mineral substrates.

Processing

  1. Prepare the mill base (Part A-I and A-II) Mix all components of Part A-I in the stated order, then add the components of Part A-II in the stated order and homogenize for 3–10 minutes.
  2. Grind and incorporate the amine resin (Part A-III) Grind until Hegman 6. Premix Part A-III (Beckopox™ EH 623w/80WA with deionized water) and add to the mill base.
  3. Complete Part A (Part A-IV) Add the components of Part A-IV in the stated order to complete Part A.
  4. Prepare Part B Premix Part B-I (Beckopox EP 2384w/57WA with deionized water), then add Part B-II (Beckopox EP 147w with Arcosolv PNP) in the stated order to complete Part B.
  5. Combine the two components and adjust Mix Part A and Part B shortly before application and adjust the viscosity with deionized water.
