Two-Component Waterborne Glossy Epoxy Coating
Based on Beckopox™ EP 147w, Beckopox EP 384w/53WAMP & Beckopox EH 623w/80WA
REC20049 is a starting-point formulation for a two-component (2K), water-reducible glossy epoxy coating. It combines the allnex Beckopox EP 384w/53WAMP and Beckopox™ EP 147w epoxy hardeners with the Beckopox EH 623w/80WA amine resin to deliver a low-VOC, high-gloss finish (> 90 GU at 60°) at approx. 55 % solids.

Part A : Part B ratio is approx. 1 : 1 by weight. Combine the two components only shortly before application. Previous reference: EPWDE 817.
Processing
- Disperse Part A Mix in the mentioned order and disperse on a dissolver for approx. 30 minutes at approx. 4000 rounds per minute. The dispersing temperature should not exceed 40 °C.
- Prepare Part B Pre-emulsify Beckopox EP 147w with a part of the water, then add Beckopox EP 384w and the residual water.
- Combine and apply Mix Part A and Part B shortly before application and adjust the viscosity with deionized water. Object temperature should be at least 12 °C, relative humidity should be < 80 %. Sufficient ventilation must be available during the drying process.
